Generation of 20 human induced pluripotent stem cell lines from patients with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)

چکیده

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a major cause of familial nephrotic syndrome. We generated 20 induced pluripotent stem cell lines from patients diagnosed with FSGS. The iPSC include 8 female and 12 male cover donor age range 31 to 78. were peripheral blood mononuclear cells by integration-free reprogramming using Sendai virus vectors. Cell fully characterized regarding their pluripotency differentiation potential, quality controlled for karyotypic integrity, identity clearance represent valuable tool disease modelling drug development

Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) Recurrence in Kidney Allograft Recipients

Primary or idiopathic focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) accounts for approximately 10% and 20% of cases of idiopathic nephrotic syndrome in children and adults, respectively. The primary pathophysiologic process appears to be an injury of glomerular visceral epithelial cells, so-called podocytes, followed by an initial proliferation of mesangial, epithelial and endothelial cells wit...

Interferon Induced Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis

Behçet's disease is an inflammatory disease of unknown etiology which involves recurring oral and genital aphthous ulcers and ocular lesions as well as articular, vascular, and nervous system involvement. Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is usually seen in viral infections, immune deficiency syndrome, sickle cell anemia, and hyperfiltration and secondary to interferon therapy. Here, we...

Induced pluripotent stem cell lines derived from human somatic cells.

Somatic cell nuclear transfer allows trans-acting factors present in the mammalian oocyte to reprogram somatic cell nuclei to an undifferentiated state. We show that four factors (OCT4, SOX2, NANOG, and LIN28) are sufficient to reprogram human somatic cells to pluripotent stem cells that exhibit the essential characteristics of embryonic stem (ES) cells. These induced pluripotent human stem cel...

The FSGS factor: enrichment and in vivo effect of activity from focal segmental glomerulosclerosis plasma.

A circulating causative factor has been postulated in focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). It has been shown that serum or plasma from some FSGS increases glomerular albumin permeability (Palb) in vitro. Palb greater than 0.5 (i.e., FS activity) is associated with recurrence after transplantation. Specimens from 15 FSGS patients were studied to document the presence of a permeability fact...

Generation of rabbit pluripotent stem cell lines.

Pluripotent stem cells have the capacity to divide indefinitely and to differentiate into all somatic cells and tissue lines. They can be genetically manipulated in vitro by knocking genes in or out, and therefore serve as an excellent tool for gene function studies and for the generation of models for some human diseases. Since 1981, when the first mouse embryonic stem cell (ESC) line was gene...
